The Basics
I'm a young author trying to balance art, school, family, friends, and my writings. I'm still working on finishing a novel, but I'm becoming really close. This journal is to keep me on track, get some tips and ideas, and let you know where I am in my works.

My current projects/WIPs
The Conqueror: A YA book about a dictator who overthrows the king and starts an oligarchy, but more importantly, the resistance that stands up to this new power. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Secrets, trechery, possible good, possible bad, missing people, and a David vs. Goliath scenario.
Marshall Manor: A YA Fantasy book about a mysterious, magical problem that has been covered up for a century. Two young girls uncover this mystery by accidentially awakening Mister Marhsall himself, (who was actually a wooden statue when they found him) who pulls them into the mess that magic has created.
Zenith City: A YA Sci-Fi book about a boy named Mace and his grandfather. Once Mace's mother convinces Gramps to move (farms are impractical now and out of date) he decides to show Mace a secret he's long kept hidden in the barn: an airplane. The last airplane. In the future all the travel is done underground, supposedly to keep more control on the travel and cut down on terrorists, but Mace soon finds out that's not entirely true. He flies the plane as Gramps teaches him and he finds Zenith City, a culture of people living in the sky, on a mechanized floating city desguised as a cloud. What else do the skies hold for him?
Zarcona: A YA religious book that satirizes religion in governments. This story also spreads the good news in an alternate universe in a town where no one has heard of Se Cardainyose (the Messiah). It starts out as a simple rescue, but turns into a mission to spread the truth through a land plagued with cover-stories.
Heart of a Hero (working title): A sci-fi/fantasy book about a mutant, Leila Stone, who is trying to keep her powers a secret, but still fight for the little guy; and the heroic team she left who fight battles of epic proportions. Leila was once a "superhero" and now sees that fighting villains every week did more damage than it did good. This is her story to tell on how she chooses to use her powers for the common good, how she hides them, and how she gets the rent paid.
Disney: The Last Entertainer (working title)</a>: A spoof/humor short story. Walt Disney's been cryogenically frozen in Cinderella Castle and wakes up to find a world ravaged by war. All the places with large crowds have been shut down, Disneyworld the first to go, and the country as become dull, mundane, and without entertainment. Now awake when the world needs him most, he will change everything.

Completed/Published Pieces
You Always Knew: A short story about a girl and her childhood friend. I can't say much more without spoiling it, just click the link and read it, it's only 3 pages long. Published in school's literary magazine and a class anthology.
Reset, Rewired: A sci-fi short story. Marcus wakes up every morning to the same day, overnight his life is reset and his mind is rewired. Soon he starts to build muscle memory to the events, and then hears voices. He thinks he's crazy, but soon learns otherwise...(link coming soon)
